Service delivery models and location of service are clearly two different things. Learn more about what makes these two different things, and what we do to differntiate ourselves.
Establishing a trusting and respectful relationship between the family and the therapist proves time and again the basis for positive and long-lasting communicative change. The therapist must be genuinely dedicated to improving her client's communicative/life situation. She must engage the family as well as the client in decisions about treatment. She must respect differences, thoughts and emotions. The client must trust the therapist and do the work necessary to achieve change. When the relationship is established, there may be times of "fracture". This can be a healthy event in the therapeutic experience, continuing the necessary growth towards an efficacious outcome. The rewards of helping someone live a better life cannot be more gratifying. Some relationships last a lifetime. Freedom to Speak has two locations; Honeoye, NY and Cape Coral, Florida. However, since its inception, Freedom to Speak has worked with people world-wide. Face-to-face zoom sessions have proven, in most cases, to be just as effective as person-to-person treatment. Most importantly, a client should trust and have faith in their clinician. That is; the clinician has their best interest at heart, is willing to work in tandem with the client, and is knowledgeable about stuttering and its treatment.
At Freedom to Speak we know how overwhelming it can be if you or a loved one has a stuttering disorder. It is our mission to help you reach your goals, and achieve a more fulfilling quality of life. Check out our treatment options to learn more, or drop us a line so we can get in touch.
